Subject: Special report on Gel Manicures
To: <[email protected]>

Just watched the latest warning about "gel Manicures" on Good Morning
America. Again, the reporters use the word "sterilized" when referring to
our implements... Why are these people so stupid? We are not surgeons. Even
if our implements were sterilized, they'd be unsterile the moment they hit
the air which means they'd also be unsterile when they touch the client.

The report showed a woman who had a powder dip process and the electronic
filing is actually what they blame the problem on. Her skin had been
"stuffed" during prep, then dipped into the powder and the powder entered
her blood stream causing nerve damage. Even the doctor in the report wasn't
the brightest shining star.... they did explain that gel Manicures are up
24% over last year and showed the difference between a true gel Manicure and
a powder dip...

Still not overly impressed with the facts in these reports.
