Jennifer, drive around that area on the surface streets, better yet, have someone else drive so you can scan the roadside shops. There are lots of little beauty supply houses in Berkeley and Oakland. It would be fun for you to see what they might have to offer. Many are Asian shops which have exotic things which the advertised and familiar distributors don't offer. FUN!!
