hey guys...
this has been around for a bit now
Athena Elliott now has her talk radio show on Monday nights...I haven't been able to catch her "on air" time..cause it was early evening...but now she has moved it to a later timeslot...which I will be able to catch ..10:00 for us Ny'ers... Her show last week had Doug Schoon on and he FULLY addressed the issue about uv lights...cancer issues and all...I don't have her link but I am sure someone does... scroll down to find Doug Schoon's name and in the lower right corner click on play... it is rather lengthy but Doug (and Athena!) , as always, was so interesting to listen to! BTW...have you all seen Doug's brain? in 3-D no less! Now THAT is real interesting also! I think it is ending this weekend..
probably get more info at Dougschoon.com

Subject: NailTech:: What color ribbon should we use for "Finger tip Cancer"?

A little ditty that came across my desk (posted today at WebMD)...

"Cancer Risk at Your Fingertips?"
<http://blogs.webmd.com/breaking-news/2010/08/cancer-risk-at-your-fingertips.html?ecd=wnl_day_080510>http://blogs.webmd.com/breaking-news/2010/08/cancer-risk-at-your-fingertips.html?ecd=wnl_day_080510

I've already emailed Doug, our resident expert, about it. But if anyone else wants to chime in and send them
the correct information.....the more the better.

The funniest part, if you do any amount of driving during a sunny day...you're hands and fingers are exposed to more sun than our UV Lamps (in a single sitting). So maybe everyone at WebMD should consider gloves while driving.

I'm just rolling inside with laughter at my internal visual cartoons....finger tips that are more tan than the rest of the hands. People walking around with finger cots on the tips of their fingers so they don't get "finger tip cancer". Next year we'll have a nail industry walking team raising money to fight finger tip cancer. Ok...I've officially lost it. Send the white coats
to come and get me. I want a rocking chair on a porch.

Kind Regards,
