Della,
I use a microfiber towel before applying gel or acrylic. I have not had
any trouble at all and there is positively no lint!

Thank you for your responses AND help Nail Tech Friends : )))))

Thank you also Lynnette for being thrilled for me and leading me to
Gelish. <big grin>

Angie- I used the color *Samuri.* I will send you a private note today.
Thank you for being there for me girl!

I don't know where Diana is.... but thank you for letting me "pick your
brain" tooooooooooooo!

Your all SO awesome!!!!!!!! I don't know what I would do without this
list~!

Lynnette, when you mean gentle buffing I am wondering if you mean like
using the "Girlfriend" without the shine or more of a grit ???? I used the
(1) turtle that I have (lol) on 3 of the nails and a gentle touch with a
180 grit as they recommended. All nails are still doing fantastic. ( I keep
looking at my nails with amazement!!!!)

I am wondering if I can use a Polar buffer, and if not, which I could get
that I wouldn't have to order online.

Sally's is really much closer than my Beauty Supplies. I'm not opposed to
the Polar buffer, but I think another type would look more like a manicure
procedure. This is my humble opinion : )

Also Lynnette, I am not wiping the base coat with alcohol, only using a
dry brush or lint free towel to gently swipe them before I apply the color.
This was recommended. Do you do this?????? She said it makes for a smoother
nail from start to finish. Maybe it really doesn't matter (?????) I
trust ya girl~!!!

Della,
I am thrilled to hear how much you like gelish!
I do not know what advice others will give you, but do not wipe the
dispersion off until the very end. If you feel you want to make it less shiny,
just use a dry brush and wipe all the nails.
I only lightly buff the nails like you mentioned....VERY fine buffer as I
do with my manicures.
Good luck!
Buenos dias!

Della ,
that is great!!!

I have shellac and ECO soak off gel, and I was thinking about getting into
the gelish. Since I joined the group in the early summer I realized how
much I am missing working by myself and just recieved my NAILS Mag the first
in maybe 8yrs wow what I have missed!

So I also am going to jump in and say "Thank you" to all of the gals here
and the people who make these great products.

Kinda makes me want to work in a salon again... NOT!
