well I guess that would depend how busy you are! I am not being
sarcastic...Lynnette said shellac didn't hold up on her nails (but I think when
she used gelish it did.) They both held up on mine but I am not as busy as
Lynnette.
a splash of acetone will not harm it at all...
I would do the nail art on top of the color...but under the topcoat... and I
use acrylic paint for nail art...so that would clean up the same as usual..well
actually better cause if you went to clean it off over traditional polish you'd
have to be real careful not to smudge...with the sog it is all cured so..wipe
away it won't hurt it! I wait a minute or two then topcoat and cure...
removing sog's from acrylic..doesn't really take much longer... my acrylic
clients used to all have frenchs which I topped with a gel sealant...now they
use sog color so it's about the same time for removal. I do use a sanding band
now instead of my carbides....cause it does clog the bit.
good luck!

Subject: NailTech:: Gelish / What Happens Acetone/ Acrylic With

I have a couple of questions that may seem obvious. lol

If I get acetone on my "Gelished" nails while working what happens? I usually
only use one glove, but have been using two. Also, if I want to do art on the
finished nail would I use acetone or alcohol to correct mistakes? Lastly, if
you put the SOG on acrylic nails and they come in for a fill, you have to file
it off right? Doesn't that take forever???
Thank you everyone for your help : )
