but what causes the shrinkage.....I see so much of this with my NSI
balance gel....just on some clients (I call them the "shrinkers" and
they know who they are)

Creeping is a kinder term than shrinking. LOL. Creep back is when
you see a "hair thin" line of shrinkage at the free edge of the
nail. Not to be confused with "shrinkage" where you really see
gaps at the skin and edges. I named SOG shrinkage "creep back" a
few years ago because it was too small to say "shrinkage". haha
Sorry if it confused you all.

I have the creeping no matter what technique I use. I've wiped the
nail with a dry brush, used no base coat (on acrylic), wiped the
tacky layer off, etc. What I have ended up having to do is go back
and pull it back out to the free edge and put them in the light
very quickly. Sometimes I've been able to SCRUB on the first layer
of color and then two more coats of color. When I do this, I only
cure the base, and first two coats of color for 30 seconds each,
then I cure the final coat of color and top coat for 2 minutes
each. I've been doing this for a month with no breakdown, peeling
or over exposure issues.
While I'm on the subject, I have flash cured color on my own nails
until the final coat of color and top coat with no problems at all.

I also have that problem, I read the posts from the chat with
Elaine and she said you could take a chemical free brush and wipe
the edge to get that first layer to not creep back.
I did this with my own nails and then flash cured for like 10 secs
a few nails at a time 3 then 2. And they look great.
My first set on myself peeled that first night, so I am tickled
that I have on ECO sog for 3 days
