ONE more thing to add to what they've all been suggesting...Please tell your
client that if the Podiatrist suggests to laser remove a section of the nail
(it's like the narrow up the nail by slicing right up the side that's in
grown) tell her to consider it long and hard. It's over kill and it will
leave her nail slightly different (ugly) than they other nail. If she is
chronically plagued by ingrowns it may be necessary...but usually proper
care can prevent.

That whole bit about cutting the nails at an angle isn't what is as
important as ...when you cut the free edge down, be sure that your cutting
tool is under her nail and poking out the side wall. This insures that
you've cut all of it. Sometimes our clients Or under educated techs cut
just short of the "actual" edge. They leave behind a small sharp sliver
that is hidden in the side wall of the toe. It then digs and buries itself
into the skin. I've done this to myself when I was cutting in a hurry. Now
I'm such a pedi addict that my girl keeps my toes perfect. No boo boo's.

this isn't the prettiest picture...but it explains what I am saying....
