Good Morning Friends,

I just want to share what I am experiencing with Gelish and Shellac.

First, I want to say that I love, love, love the durability of Gelish!!! Many
months ago I mentioned that there
would be 1 client of mine who could never wear a SOG due to her extremely
thin nails and also
because her nails are structurally weak at the stress points. However...
she is doing very well with the Gelish base (and either Gelish or Shellac
color) and Gelish top coat.
Her nails are continually in water because she is a nurse and there is no
natural nail curling or
dryness. In the beginning we did (2) coats of color and the strength just
wasn't enough. Since
we have gone to (3) they are doing very well. (With only 2 she had white
spots where the nails
must have been getting "play" in them.

I give Gelish a TEN for: application ease & durability. And as I
mentioned in another post which
some of you may not have read... I left Gelish on my nails (at the expense
of looking like a weirdo. lol)
for 10-12 weeks. I had done art with Gelish and wanted to see how long it
would last. I know they would have lasted until it grew off~!
*seriously*

**** Now the problem!!!******

I have tried so many techniques to remove it and yesterday was my breaking
point!!!!
I used my finishing machine to remove all the shine and there was barely
any color left.
Next I set the timer in (5) minute increments to see which amount of time
was the best for
removal since I had read that over (5) minutes could be the issue. So...
in short... my experiment
proved that 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or 20 minutes <sigh> made NO
difference!!!!!!! That's right.. no
difference!!!! I still had to file off the color. Total time invested
in removal was 1 hour plus!!!!
I wanted to cry ;-( I don't want to give up on Gelish, but I don't
think I can keep experimenting with
valuable time. I need a miracle!!!!!!!! ( I have tried
different acetones)

***Regarding Shellac Wrinkling*****

I have has issues with several of the Shellac colors wrinkling with the
first color coat. I just continue on with the
2nd coat and it usually smooths out okay. I may need to do (3) coats to
stop the wrinkling. You may want to try it
and see if it works for you. ( Hope I didn't just jinx myself!!!! lol )

I would like to take this time to wish you all a most wonderful Holiday
Season!!!!<3 Also, thank you all so much
for being there for me~!!!!!!! You all have been there for me for
so many years now and I cannot imagine
not having you in my world <3 Remember that I am ALWAYS here for
****YOU***** as well~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you
have a question that is not getting replies.... please send me a private
note.
