Holly and Debbie, First, do not think it is your acetone. Have any looked up acetone? There are not different formulas. Acetone is acetone. I know it is dry, but any client who sees that happening to their nails will not want that to continue. I sure would not want THAT on my nails. Sure our clients trust us, but if they never had that before, why continue? That is ugly. And sure the oil is soaking in, but that dryness is STILL there! I know all my clients are not faithful with the oil, but their nails do not look like that. One that dryness grows out, I suspect there will be major peeling at the free edge.

My white spots are on the surface, they are partially removed during cuticle work and prep. I thought I was doing proper remvoal (acetone soaked cotton ball/foil/warm towel wrap). Maybe we should all chime in on our removal methods, whether we're getting the white spots and what products we're using for removal. I am using acetone from home depot (I'm beginning to suspect that is the problem). I have white spots on several clients, but not all.
