HI...
It has been my experience that your first pedi client, with the "extremely dry
skin"... could have a fungus.... tell her to a). go to the podiatrist and b).
use some over the counter athlete's foot spray, creme or powder until she gets
to the Dr. .. that might help a little.
Client #2 ... that excess dust could be a result of using a callous remover. I
know when I use one... I have Allpresan or another (name escapes me sorry) and
when I let it dry before I file... then I get a LOT of powdery dust... which I
personally like... makes me feel like it is all coming off!
Good luck!

Subject: NailTech:: Pedicures - 2 Questions re: last two clients

I posted this on the forum also, but want to reach those that do not
frequent the forum boards for their advices. :)

Q 1 - I did a pedi (basic soak and so on) and then when I got to the
callus reduction point, (client had no callus but extremely dry skin
around the heel) after using the foot file the feet appeared to almost
look shredded around the heel. I use a stainless steel tool with
disposable abrasives on each side, one side coarse, other fine. This
is my first time experiencing this 'shredding' effect. It seemed a
never ending process. I researched this in Doug Schoone's book and
online and could not find for certain what the issue may have been.

Q 2 - Another pedi, I decided to do dry (all same process, just no
soak). Again at the point of callus work, there was so much skin cells/
dust generated, literally was covered my apron and had to do a full
clean of my area. Ick. Is this typcial with dry pedis? What could I
have done differenlty? Maybe I did not have enough callus product on
the foot?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions advices.
