Primer use is not what is causing the lifting or peeling or chipping. These things are caused from your application being too thick. The primer pen is an acid primer. Primer is ONLY recommended for those who have nails that are not in the best shape -- peeling or thin for instance. When using primer on any UV Gel polish it should ONLY be used on the free edge, not the entire nail plate.
