I was in Orlando and strolled over to Essie and asked the girl working what the story was with Essie now being in retail stores. She shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know. I asked if there was someone who did know, and she pointed out and older man in a suit. I have since forgotten his name unfortunately, but he spoke with me at length. He told me Essie is now owned by L'oreal, and that they are doing tons of advertising. The polish in retail stores is a different formula than the "professional" line and will have less color choices. He claims more people will be exposed to the line and that will in turn help the salon. I told him I like exclusive lines in the salon and he said he understood blah blah blah. He was very nice and helpful and gave me his card which I have now lost in all of the stuff I brought back. I also spoke with Gelish re: Sally's. They said the would only have very small bottles and limited colors and some really small uv light. They said some techs only have access to Sally's, which may be true, but if they have a computer they can order from anywhere. So that's the story. Make of it what you may. Lauren Dodson
