I'm contemplating moving from my current salon into a different location where everybody just rents their room, but it's not a traditional salon situation. It's basically like your own salon, each person having their own room. There are several hair dressers but no other nail techs. What has prompted this move is my purchasing a pedicure spa chair. If I install it in the room I currently rent, within a small but busy salon, space is going to be very tight. I have wanted one for a long time and finally have the opportunity to get it. The problem is-I'm not necessarily unhappy where I'm at, but I sometimes feel as if I would prefer to be in my own space, without the hubub of the rest of the salon. I have been in the same location since I started in the business, five years ago. I don't know what to do. I don't want to create bad feelings between my current salon owner and myself. I also don't want to lose the clients that combine hair and nail appointments. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! ~Rachel in Ohio
