It just depends on how well the fit is on the natural nail and how much glue you use. It seems to work best placing them on at the cuticle at a 45 degree angle, setting them down onto the nail bed with not too much pressure. Once they're down, that's it. The more you play with them the worse they will look. Also, the more pressure you use, the more glue seeps out sometimes causing the air pockets as well. Just my honest opinion.
