Wanted to share some fabulous news!  I have found THE cutest salon in adorable
"quaint" Carrollton Square (a suburb of Dallas).  It's called Lemon Lime
Studio...and it is brand spanking new,  light and bright and right on "main
street" of a very busy, newly enervated historic district.  The salon owners
have a spa right across the street which specializes in facials, massage and
waxing, with two very small booth rental suites for hair.  This is called
Carrollton Spa and Salon, which has been open 11 years.  Where I am going to be
doing manis and pedis we also have 1 staff member who is a stylist/manicurist
and 2 booth renters who are stylists only.  Lemon Lime will feature the art of
local artists....and every month we will have an exhibit event, featuring a new
artist.  And of course, will be offering specials to the attendees!

Even though the two different spaces are completely different in vibe, decor
and services, we work together. This is my first week and I've already been
over
at the spa doing a set of lash extensions (whoooeeee! These Texas women love
them some lashes!) and some facial waxing.  And I've had several services
generated from our Grand Opening last Friday night (which coincided with the
Carrollton Square Chocolate Walk---all the businesses were open 5-9p and served
chocolate!!)

We are utilizing Juice in the City...for one promotion.....and then we are
going
to do Living Social next.  We are actively harvesting email addresses, and we
will do monthly specials ourselves, once these two promotions are over.
We have
created a buzz....and are already being talked about by the other businesses in
the Square.  I've had several walk-ins already!

We are using Spa-Booker by Grammercy 1, and we can look at the books for either
venue at any time--even from home!  My phone will receive texts when something
is booked for me. We also participate with Spa Finder, and have gift cards that
can be purchased through them.  Our clients can do online booking at either
venue through our websites.

Today, both the hair stylist booth renters had clients in, and I took a bottle
of lotion around to every single one of them and gave them a hand massage and
introduced myself.  Their clients LOVED the pampering....and I picked up a pedi
from one, immediately.

I am really so very thrilled to be in on the beginning of this fabulous
venture.  The two owners are wonderful women...very successful...and they have
a
great partnership.  (One of them is in charge of the Studio, so there's no "two
headed monster" thing going on at all!) They are asking me to give them input
about the nail services since this is a new offering for them, so I am thrilled
to be able to share some of my experience.  They appreciate me! And I
appreciate
them!  This is a great fit!

My first real day there, they set me up in the computer, showed me my scheduled
services, handed me a set of keys and said "Let us know if you need anything!"
And, "be sure to turn the A/C down when you leave!"  lol  So great to be
trusted!

Karen...who is tickled to be at Lemon Lime.....a little "Keys-y" after
all....!!
