Ruth,
The very first thing I would do is to make sure that the name you selected
can be used as a website name also. i.e. www.NailDivaSalon.com That would be
first and foremost! I swear, if I had to do it over, my buiness name would BE
a website format! Of course, the internet wasn't even INVENTED yet when I
started doing nails.. sooooo... anyway! Make SURE you "register" your
business name in your state. You may need to do this for a lot of reasons, so
others cannot copy your name, so you can use a business checking acct, etc. In
Ohio, it was $50 for 5 years to register my business name, but.. one of the
local banks was offering $200.00 for business checking accounts! So.. I made
out on that deal! :-)
Second thing.. try to get a phone number for your business that is easy to
remember. XXX-Nai-lDiva (your area code +NailDiva spells the salon name)
You could also use words like Man-icure Ped-icure Spa-salon etc. Try different
words till you find one that is available and will work for you business
number. Not sure of your area code, or if it would also spell something cute
that you could incorporate into your phone number, but... find one that is easy
to remember for your clients to call without having to look your number up!
Hope this gets your brain working! I wish you much success!

Subject: NailTech:: Name help

OK peeps, since I've been booth renting I haven't used a "name" other than my
own since I closed my salon. It's time for me to establish an identity
separate from the salon I'm currently in case I decide to go out on my own
again...

So, when I had my salon it was The Nail Diva's Beauty Lounge, however, that
doesn't work for me any more. My first salon 23 years ago was Get Nailed! by
Sherri. Don't really want to go back to that. So, some of the names I'm
kicking around are:

Nail Junkies (which gives me lots of tag lines for ads such as "feed your
addiction" , "get your fix", etc)

Nail Addiction

Addicted to Nails

All About Nails( not my fave)

So, tell me what you think and throw me some suggestions. right now Nail
Junkies (or The Nail Junkie or The Nail Junkies) is my favorite.

I know all you uber creative folks will come up with some great ideas!

Sherri
