Well first of all you need to set up a FB business page. On the page you need to have pics of your work, post updates of your activities. So before you set it up (if you don't already have one) decide what pics you will use for your page. The idea behind FB business pages is having people like your page, sharing articles/pics from other FB uses, or interesting articles you think your clients will be drawn to. The more people who like your page the more successful your marketing will be, so the first stage is getting "likes". FB makes this easy. The first step is to ask your fb friends to like it. Then you can search FB for local businesses who your clients/potential clients will also be drawn to, and like those pages. FB also sends a weekly report on the demographic of people who have responded to your postes, so you can begin to see what your fans respond to best.
So, step one.....make a page. Step two......send a message to all your present FB friends to like your business page. Step 3....find local businesses, like their pages and post on their walls. I have to run right now, but I'm sure we can all share ideas here on how to make social media work for our businesses. If anyone wants to contact my son for his input, I can certainly provide his info.
