I'm designing my pedi station right now. I have decided to set the platform floor at the height of my knees when I'm sitting in front of it. So, there will be one step up to it. For storage I am putting a hinge on the step tread so it will become a compartment to hold pedi tools. Along the elevation where I sit I am going to have a shelf set on a drawer slide (think bread board) on either side of me. One for implements, one to hold shellac. Below the sliders will be cubbies to hold any other supplies or tools I use. I bought some gorgeous marble tile for the floor of it.
I only do dry pedi's so there is no plumbing involved, I just need enough space to put a uv light on the floor. My boyfriend is a master carpenter, so we're designing it together. I'm also making it so it will come apart into three pieces in case I ever want to move it to another location.
