Subject: NailTech:: Smoky Mtn. Event recap
We'd like to thank everyone for helping to grow our little networking event
into a small industry trade show! The 5th "Nail Tech Event of the Smokies"
(dropped the word 'networking from our title this year) was held at the
Gatlinburg Convention Center on June 24th, with 9 optional Monday Workshop
Classes for extra hands-on training the following day. With 200 techs
attending, 50+ educators, several company owners, & The Event Team of 5, it
became evident that we needed a larger room for 2013!
Nail Talk Radio (www.nailtalkradio.com) hosted the 1st Meet & Greet
pre-Event party on Saturday night at the Glenstone Lodge's huge Picnic
Pavilion, which sits conveniently between the outdoor pool & a picturesque
stream. NTR's Athena Elliott, Millie Haynam & Naja Rickette did a fantastic
job & although their company sponsor, Kathy Weltman from Soft Landings
Towels (www.softlandingstowels.com) couldn't join us due to a recent
injury, she sponsored the food & beverages for the party nonetheless!

During The Event, Nail Talk Radio broadcasted LIVE by interviewing
educators at their booths as well as attending nail techs. If you missed
their Monday night broadcast you can listen to it & any past show archived
on their web site. Afterwards NTR video taped a "round table discussion"
with several leading educators, including CND's 'Educator of the Year'
