You may not be the last person..lol I have known this for a while. I was in a
financial pinch and tried placing an order. What I found out that there are
several “beauty shop” stores set up on Amazon...and none of them had all that I
wanted. By the time my order was placed, there were several different shipping
fees....so I scrapped it all and only got a couple things I desperately needed.
I found the Shellac I ordered was older...it was in the hard plastic packaging,
not the new box packaging. And it makes me wonder if all the products are
dated. I will not be buying anything else this way, though.

Subject: NailTech:: "professional-only" products being sold on Amazon.com

Hi you all!

Am I the last person on earth to find out that ALL the professional-only
products were being sold on Amazon.com for many times below wholesale prices?

Today while I was pedicuring one of my clients, I mentioned that she should be
out of the Nordic Care foot creme by now if she was using it religiously as she
should be, which was when she told me that she started ordering it on Amazon
because she could get it for $10+ and around $2+ shipping. The wholesale price
I pay is $9.90!

I was flabbergasted because I had no idea you could buy professional products
on Amazon (you all may already have known this, but I'm not a big shopper). No
wonder my retail has been down for a while now!

I researched it tonight and EVERY single one of the "professional only"
products I use and retail in the salon was being sold there. Going forward this
is definitely going to change what I carry & where I buy it from.

Even brands I don't use were being sold on there. I was just about to order the
EZ Flow Spa Elements lotion (among other things) from an online distributor
because our local beauty supply does not carry that brand. The heck with that
now because when I looked it up on Amazon they were selling it for the exact
wholesale price of $5.95 I was about to pay!

OPI's new Skyfall collection had "The Man with the Golden Gun" selling for
$2.43 (!) & others were selling for $5, some higher. They had a huge selection
of Gelish, CND- boatloads of Shellac including the entire UV lamp kit, tons of
OPI, One Minute Manicure, Tammy Taylor, Young Nails, Cuccio, Nordic Care (&
last week I just ordered an entire case directly from the company- how foolish
of me). They even had Dadi Oil, but thankfully it was higher than retail (for
now).

Log on there to see if your favorite professional line is being carried, so YOU
can save money the next time you need to order products. Shipping prices vary,
but sometimes they have deals with no shipping at all. Hey, you can even do all
your Christmas shopping there now while you order salon supplies!

>From now on, I'm going to throughly research every professional product on
>Amazon first & if they are selling it, I will not carry it. I'll try to use
>smaller, more obscure companies & if all else fails then I will either start
>carrying private label products or create my own scrubs, lotions, & foot
>cremes to put into empty jars to use & retail.

That's just my 2 cents worth & I'm not a happy camper tonight:(
