If you try all of the suggestions everyone has shared and the towels are still hard maybe it's time to get new ones. If the fabric is old the fibres may be broken, thus leaving the fabric hard and stiff. The fibres may also be broken if they were previously washed with harsh detergents and/or fabric softeners. :) happy holidays! Miss ya girlie!!
