Not cleaning or storing your brush properly can cause yellowing. If you store the brush with the bristles up, old liquid runs down into the fennel and the next time you use it some of the old liquid runs back out and becomes part of the new nail. Manufacturers say not to use acetone to clean the brush, use only ac liquid, I disagree. I have always used acetone to clean my brushes and, yes, it most likely does shorten the life of my brush, but, I've never had my acrylic nails turn yellow from old liquid contamination.
