I would use a heat gun. It would melt the paraffin around the edges and allow you to remove it. A hair dryer might work, but also may not get hot enough to do the job. Are you sure its broken? I fixed mine once by unplugging it for 24 hours, then plugging it back in. The company said that when we unplug it to vaccuum we were messing up the melt cycle. lol.. I don't know.. all I know is it worked. Good luck, Pam
