Well Alabama does NOT want to deal with Barbers. 3 different bills,
one the House and one the Senate. So if one doesn't make it thru,
they are hoping the other one does.
And to exempt all barbers over 15 years in biz, shows you who
probably started this, the good ole boys that have been around for
YEARS, that don't want to bother with licensing.

HB273 - Change the name of the board to the Alabama Cosmetology
Board. Removes barbers from licensure and regulation by the board.
HB446 - Exempts ALL barbers from regulation and licensing
requirements by the State Board of Cosmetology.
SB179 - Exempts any person practicing as a barber who has practiced
for at least 15 years before August 1, 2013 from licensure.
