It really has that "roadside diner" taste and is ready in no time. 3 Tbsp oatmeal 2 Tbsp fat-free egg substitute 1 Tbsp dried minced onion 1 tsp yellow mustard 1 lb ground beef (95% lean) 1 package brown gravy mix (to make 2 cups) 2 tsp horseradish 1 (4 oz) can mushrooms, drained dash garlic powder Pulse the oatmeal in a food processor, if available. In a bowl, combine the oatmeal, egg substitute, onion flakes, mustard, and ground beef. Mix together well. Shape the meat mixture into four balls, then flatten into ½"-thick patties. Spray a skillet with cooking spray. Heat to medium. Cook the patties 4-5 minutes per side. While the patties are cooking, make the gravy according to the package directions. Mix in the horseradish, garlic powder, and mushrooms. Pour over the patties and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Per serving, 1 patty with 1/4 cup gravy, approximately 215 calories; 5.9 g. fat; 9.9 g. carbohydrates; .6 g. sugar; 2.1 g. fiber; 27.7 g. protein (Use extra gravy on mashed potatoes.) Regards to all, Susan in San Antonio http://www.fizzymeals.com ================= Hamburger Steak 3 lbs. hamburger 1 cup. water 1 cup fine cracker crumbs or rolled oats 2 tsp. salt Pepper (as desired) Mix well, then pack tightly into container such as a 9 x 13 in. baking dish.
