Recipes for the Day

Barbecue Sauce
1/4 pint cooking oil
1/2 pint cider vinegar
2 1/2 tablespoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 egg

Mix dry ingredients together first. Add vinegar. Add well beaten 
egg. Mix thoroughly. Add oil and mix  again. Keep refrigerated. It 
will keep about a week.

Apple Chicken Salad
1/2 c. fat-free yogurt
1/2 c. apple jelly, melted
1 T lemon juice
2 C finely sliced celery
1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans
1/4 c. orange juice
1/4 t. salt (optional)
3 c cooked chicken, diced
3 apples, unpeeled & diced

In large bowl mix yogurt, orange juice, melted apple jelly & lemon 
juice. Add chicken, celery, pecans & apples.
4-6 servings
