        leads to the question that should occur elsewhere, BUT,
        why are there all these different ways to ID DNS servers?

        granted, the ISC reference implementation was first
        out, with the  "version.bind"   string, which they
        still use, even though the IETF has specified 
        the use of "version.server" ...  

        now we have server.id, hostname.bind, ... and the ultra
        "... check my special zone..."  - grump.
