Depends on the game and the gamer. Personally, it doesn't matter to me, as even if I was on my employer's 10GE uplink, I'd still lose to some snot-nosed brat with fast reflexes on a 56kb modem. So till they invent an uplink that has -1500ms latency, I'm screwed.
