That is *the* definition of "Cloud".  The term "Cloud" is a proxy for the 
expression "under the exclusive control of a third-party over which we have no 
influence nor control in order to gain plausibile denibility and CYA ptotection 
if something bad happens".

Eg:

Store you data "in the cloud".
Run a server "in the cloud".
Put your e-mail "in the cloud".
Run your application "in the cloud".
