hello Carlo,
I am a newbee to the graphics world. I am using NXP
LPC2148 (ARM7 ,512k flash ,64k RAM) microcontroller. I have no OS
running on it. Can I still use NANO GUI on it? and also can nono gui be
used for Monochrome LCDs?
thank you,
Sameer.
Hi Sameer, http://www.microwindows.org/faq.html reports:
"Nano-X does not require any operating system or other graphics system
support, as it writes directly to the display hardware, although it runs
well on Linux framebuffer systems."
Personally I run nano-x using linux's framebuffer (1 bpp LCD), and I've
no experience how nano-x manages display hardware. You may start looking
in /src/drivers for the hw support you need.
In /src/.config you may find also the proposed architectures.
I have no experience in how to include nano-x into a generic non-OS
executable.
BTW, it would've been better if you posted this mail to
nanogui@linuxhacker.org also, so many more people could read & answer :)
Regards,
