hi since you asked, some words from a user who happens to monitor the wrong list: IMO you're being much too careful. it seems to me that everyone around here has already agreed that they want property support, and, for the most part, how they want it. the pros and cons have been carefully discussed and seem to be well understood. i can't wait for it to be released. expressions will allow me to get rid of some quite obscure parts of my growing build scripts. they might allow me to modularize my build scripts to a much larger degree (my biggest problem with nant is that i'm copying and pasting too much right now). you think expressions might be too much? the opposite is true: i want code-behind files ;-) (sorry i couldn't wait for the question to be asked on the user list) stefan

Maybe the next step after we discuss this on the dev list is to get together another summary email for the user list. Then we can make a final decision about if we want to add this new feature to a release.
