I'd propose to release beta 1 by the end of next week, that gives us some
times to make sure the docs (Scott very recently make more changes to this),
to-do list and changelog are ok (and perhaps reviewed by one of us).

We also need to make sure we can do a NAntContrib release at the same time,
meaning we will have to split up the change log and release notes, and some
code changes Scott made recently (dropping FileSetAttribute) introduced in
NAnt should also be introduced to NAntContrib ...
