BTW Keep in mind that a version 3.0 is also coming and having a scenario to handle new framework versions will always come in handy.
Also as stated before releasing and release numbers are more marketing problems then coding problems. So, going to 1.0 will give some drive to NAnt in the comunity. To be completly blund having a stable version or a good core has no relevance. imho it's about time to go to 1.0!
