The problem is not whether NAnt is doing what people are asking it to do... you're right, NAnt is working exactly according to specification in its current behaviour. The problem is that what people are asking it to do isn't what they _want_ it to do :-) Of course, this is the fault of the user for not doing the right thing... but one of the metrics for how "good" a piece of software is is how easy it is for the user to do the right thing.
