Hi again,
Because of a situation outlined in my prior post, “The failure of success, or, but I really didn't want to do that...”, it occurred to me that there might be a situation where something that is happening in the “onsuccess” task which could be considered a build failure. What is supposed to happen when there is a serious failure within the “onsuccess” task? Should it switch over and run the “onfail” task? That’s not what it does but it does make sense in a way.
BTW: I tried to use the <fail/> task within the “onsuccess” task and there was no change in behavior except for the logging now says there was an error. I also tried the <fail/> task in the middle of the build script and it had no effect on whether it went down the “nonsuccess” or “onfail” routes. Is this expected behavior?
