Ah! Apparently I got it from the examples section of the 
doc/help/fundamentals/expressions.html file.

I agree, it would be better placed elsewhere in the documentation - probably as 
one of the supported operators on boolean values.

BTW: The "not" operator is not documented in v0.85-rc3.
