from my perspective Nant is a way to implement a build system without the 
interference of an IDE 
which specific configuration files does the build use?
are there specific binaries the build requires?
which components and which version of components does the build require?
which targets is the build environment using?

*the same argument applies to those who are diehard eclipse or netbeans IDE 
afficionados with Maven/Ant*
