My opinions on this -
1 - Make a nant-contrib 'release' that goes against Nant 0.8.2 2 - .. and then update Nant-contrib ASAP to run against Nant CVS latest
sounds good.
I have a need for this update, so I'm happy to attempt doing the fix. If you'd like to give me commit rights my SF is 'mikeroberts', otherwise I can give you a zip file with what I do.
unfortunately Scott is the only admin for the project and he is on vacation right now. However I'm more than happy to commit changes on your behalf until he gets back.

Well Scotts plan for NAntContrib was to have it build against a released version of nant rather than cvs. However there have been some significant changes to nant recently so that policy may not be viable anymore.
The namespace re-org was announced on the nant-dev list. Re-factoring of the directory structure was also done and its taken a little while to get nant working cleanly again.
so as to the plan for bringing nantcontrib in to line we can either:
release 0.83 of nant soonish and the fix up the nantcontrib code accordingly or
start fixing nantcontrib now and have it build against current cvs.
I have a couple of tasks on my plate with nant right now - finishing fileset references and fixing some linux issues. So if someone wants to take a stab at updating the nantcontrib source in the next few weeks - go for it otherwise I'll get to it myself after that. Scott may be back from holiday by then also.

ouch!
thanks mike, you're right. i guess that's what they mean by "beta". i'm surprised those who refactored the namespaces didn't let us all know
about it.
and after looking, i see this is 3-week old news!!
Ian, what's the plan for bringing nantcontrib in line w/ nant??

it's not about namespace, that i'm aware of. it's about having the nantcontrib dll's in the right location. where're the nant dlls and are the nantcontrib dlls in the same directory?
Yes, I had them in the same dir.
I think it is namespaces, since the namespace for 'TaskNameAttrbute' has changed from SourceForge.NAnt.Attributes to NAnt.Core.Attributes. If Nant latest CVS is finding all classes with the attribute 'NAnt.Core.Attributes.TaskNameAttribute', then none of the current NantContrib tasks would be picked up.
