If you are using Visual Source Safe 6.0d (as supplied with VS.NET 2003)
please refer to the following KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=837417

A change in the automation interface in VSS 6.0d inhibits a recursive get
when a label is specified. After applying the patch associated with the KB
article the recursive behaviour is restored. You can also revert to 6.0c
(however this is not recommended).

Cheers,

Brett Waring

  | Subject: [NAntC-Dev] VSS Get Recursive with version
               |

>---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I have noticed a little problem when trying to do a get latest with a VSS
project and its subprojects for a specific version For some reason if I do
a recursive get with out version I get the project, it's files, and any sub
projects underneath. However, if I perform the same get and add a version
to it I only get the project returned even though I specified the recursive
flag. This problem seems to stem from an issue with Visual Source Safe. I
created a work around that traverses the current project key and searches
for any sub projects recursively. Of course there are a few assumptions
made such as the VSS sub project folder name will end up matching the local
folder name.
