Thanks Ian, I'll check these out to see if they're up to date. If not I'll update them. I was planning to do as Gert says, which is to write a wrapper around the vault.exe command line tool. This certainly seems like the route of least resistance, which is good because I need to get something up and running fairly quickly: ideally GET functionality by the end of today. I'll also need CHECK IN and DIFF but these can wait a few days. As I said, I'll check out these existing tasks first. Thanks, Bart
