Summary: iisdirinfo fixed

Initial Comment:
Fixed bug with iisdirinfo only working with Win2k3 in
the .85 release. The new code goes back to the way
that it worked in .84 but checks the version of the OS
and only shows the properties that are valid for that
version of IIS.

Gert,

It has been a couple of weeks and I have not heard if you
are going to commit this change or not. Could you please let
me know what the plan is?

Thx

I just tested the original 0.85 rc1 code on a Windows XP
machine with sp2 and it worked fine. It appears that
Microsoft fixed the IIS ADSI provider in sp2.

Perhaps its working on my system because I have Windows
XP RC2 installed ?

The iisdirinfo that is included with 0.85 RC1 did not work for
me on Windows XP, it only worked on Windows 2k3. When I
try to run it on Windows XP is gives an "error retrieving info
for virtual directory '' on localhost:80. The directory cannot
report the number of properties". The code for .85 RC1 uses
the IIS ADSI-provider which does not work on Win2k or
WinXp.

I did a little bit of research before I made any coding
changing to make sure it was not something with my machine
and ran across the following statement in this msdn article,
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-
us/iissdk/iis/enumerating_properties_at_a_metabase_node.asp

"Previous to Windows Server 2003 SP1, the IIS ADSI provider
could not be used from System.DirectoryServices to
enumerate metabase nodes."

I'm getting confused here : so you're saying that the
<iisdirinfo> task that is part of NantContrib 0.85 RC1 also
works on Windows XP for you (as it does for me) ?
