Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: John Cole (johnwebbcole) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: hyphens in directory names create invalid WI names Initial Comment: When using a file set to load subdirectories in a component, if you have "-" characters, the names created by the MSI/MSM task will not be legal (though they seem to still work). All of these filenames will show up as an error in ORCA or another Windows Installer validation tool. There are probably other characters that are legal directory names but not allowed in a WI name, I just happened across the hyphen. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=474851&aid=1179408&group_id=54790 ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
