I'll try splitting it out to seperate components. Never knew that, but I'm new to building MSIs this way - I used InstallShield previously. Got to track down the guy who volunteered me to be the build engineer...
I'll also try as an experiment not gac'ing the files, just to see if they deposit. Seems like it *should* create the directory anyway, but who knows?
I've been digging in to the verbose log - man, when they say verbose, they mean it! I'll let you know if I find a solution, and if I don't I'll send over the verbose log.
