Hi Jonni,
Please don't think that I am trying to be divisive. I wrestled with this
issue myself and finally came to the painful conclusion that if I wanted
that to happen I would have to go off and do it myself. So I been working
on it and it is ready for people to submit to.
There is a bit of a catch. I got impatient and disillusioned not just with
additional tasks but with core capabilities and functionality as well. So I
started a branch of NAnt/NAnt Contrib in CI Factory. The catch is CI
Factory is not completely in sync with NAnt and in some areas has diverged.
So the web repository that I have created is for CI Factory. If you want to
contribute something (tasks or scripts) please just make sure that it works
with CI Factory's branch of NAnt. The web site is
http://www.cifactory.orgor .com. Register an account and you should
be good to go. If there are
any issues I will be responsive in resolving them. Please look at the CI
Factory user group for examples of my response times.
If you find that there is an issue with CI Factory's branch of NAnt feel
free to bring it to my attention and or send me a patch. I am sure that we
can resolve most any issue.
Cheers,

I get the feeling the NAnt related development on the source forge side

There are many people in the NAnt community that have written their own
tasks and functions, but these are not easily obtainable (or
submittable). It is somewhat difficult and time consuming to go through
all the requirements to submit a change to Nant contrib, and therefore
most people, even if they want to, dont get their changes into Nant
contrib.
I would like to suggest that we create a "web 2.0" community website
that people can upload their own NAnt tasks and functions - as is. They
can upload them without the constraints of formatting, comments, unit
tests and sourceforge write permission. Then other people can comment,
or change the code realtime, in a more interactive manner.
Any ideas of a good place to host such a discussion group?
From my side, I have a library of tasks and functions to contribute.
