قيل ان خريجاً جامعياً متفوقاً لم يحظَ بوظيفة في مديرية التربية والتعليم
فبعث قصيدة إلى مدير التربية يشكو إليه حاله قائلاً :
خريج جامعةٍ ببابكَ واقفٌ ......... يرجو الوظيفة هل لديك وظائفُ
حـرقَ السنينَ دراسةً وفلافلاً ..........واذ تبرجزَ فالطعامُ نواشفُ
تقديرهُ الممتازُ يشكو للورى .........فقرَ الجيوبِ ومن قراركَ خائفُ
رد عليه المدير قائلاً : ــ
ليسَ المؤهِّلُ يا فتى بشهادةٍ .........غيرُ الوساطةِ كلُ شيءٍ تالفُ
تقديرُكَ الممتازُ لا يكفي هنا ..........ان الحياةَ معارفٌ ومناسفُ
انقعْ شهادتكَ التي احرزْتَها .......... واشربْ فانَّ العلمَ شيءٌ زائفُ
