UREGENT!!!!! Dear Friends: Regarding Adam Lane and the Akha village of Pah Nmm, Ampur Mae Fahluang, Chiangrai province. Adam Lane continues to back up the Akha in that village and assist them in learning how to take pictures and get them transmitted by email. We need more people to come to Thailand and go to Pah Nmm to support and defend the Akha Peace and Justice Center there. We have an office to finish and need for long term volunteers who can train in English, computer use, documentation, human rights. The Thai Consul at Hull seems to think that mistreatment of the Akha can be solved by no one seeing it, no one visiting the Akha and staying in "safer" areas. Please write to the Thai Consul at Hull and demand an explanation, that the Army officers involved be identified and relieved of their duties!
