Working Together to End War and Build a Peaceful, Just and Sustainable World"
Request for Proposals The World Peace Forum 2006, a major international
gathering on peace, will provide an umbrella for governments and organizations

The education component of the World Peace Forum seeks to bring together
teachers, students, elders, and citizens with interests in pre-school to

• produce and disperse curricula of peace, including teaching programs,
activities, and methodologies;

• model and provide organizational strategies that can be replicated to sustain

want?" and "how, through education, are we going to get there?"

established as much as possible by participating organizations. Beginning
Sunday, June 25, through an opening plenary focussed on teaching peace in times
of war, in times of oppression, and in times of reconciliation, the following
two days will be devoted to activities and programs identified through this
call. Proposals should focus on education for peace and should insofar as
possible model cooperative, interactive and participatory methodologies, and
formats.
