I have been receiving email from different user names in AOL, they look technical enough regarding billing, and how your credit card could not be billed last month due to the fact that either your credit card is maxed out or cancelled. The message goes on to give an AOL telephone number,which you receive a fast busy signal on, and also tells you that unless you go in to a specified website to update your credit information, your account will be closed. Well, stupid I am not, but wanted to check into this further and therefore, called AOL to ask why they keep sending me these types of messages when their policy is they will never ask you on line for this type of information, especially not in an email format. Low and behold, they warned me that many people have been sending these messgaes out, and that they are a scam, please forward all these types of messages should you receive them to AOL at:� [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is very dangerous, they told me many people already did this and now have had their credit cards charged for everything but AOL memberships and had to cancel them. Just thought I would share the warning.
