I received a similiar message (15 of them) today from the Florida
Governor's
Council of American Indians ....all of them had attachments labeled Part
1.1,
You're the One.doc, etc. All of them had various subject headers.
DO NOT OPEN -- this is the W32.Sircam.Worm@mm virus, and infects .exe
files. When I tried to contact
the person whose email it was coming from, the mail bounced back to me.
I
then contacted their ISP, who took immediate action. Until I contacted
the
ISP, I was getting the messages about 5 minutes apart.
Fortunately for me, my Norton Anti-Virus picked it up, and I think most
of
the virus software updates have it on there.
This worm is a triggered event, which gets into address books. The
person
whose name it is using isn't aware of what's going on. So be very, very
careful, even if you know who the email is from. They may not be aware
that
the virus is on their system/server and may be unaware that email is
being
sent in their name with these attachments.
