Indian Health Service is participating in a fabulous program sponsored by HHS. You may have heard of the Department of Health and Human Services "Emerging Leaders Program". At this time, IHS is soliciting with Indian Preference to all colleges, universities and Tribes as well as IHS employees to any persons that may want to take advantage of a unique opportunity to participate in this program. I would like to request that you send this out to any Master's Degree Graduates that may be interested. This will offer a fast track and varied assignment approach to working in the Federal Sector specifically Indian Health Service. The program includes a very detailed rotational assignments, 6 weeks of training in the DC area, mentor program and individualized career development plan. This is a schedule b appointment not to exceed two-years upon successful completion a conversion to competitive service. The applicants may also designate an Area of interest and we will review these recommendations during the selection process.
